Exercise Your Mind Challenge Competition
Have you ever had an idea for a brain teaser?
Well, why not enter the Exercise Your Mind Challenge Competition and have your idea turned into a game and sold worldwide!
Inquizitive, the Tasmanian Independent Toy Retailer has teamed up with The Dr Wood Challenge Centre who create puzzles and games including the AWARD WINNING KogWorkS, Race Around the World and The Kaleidscope Classic to bring this competition to Tasmanian Students in Grades 1 to 12.
The competition involves designing and making your own original brain teaser. All entries will be judged by the inventors at The Dr Wood Challenge Centre. The inventors will decide on a winner and then the winning entry will be produced under the Dr Wood brand.
Entries can be completed individually or in teams, with no more than 4 students per team.
Entries must be submitted to Inquizitive by the 31st October 2011.

2009 Winner
The winner of the 2009 Exercise Your Mind Challenge Competition was submitted by four Grade 6 girls from Riverside Primary School.
Katelyn Victory, Elisabeth West, D’nykia Frost and Michelle Els entry was called the “Arr
ow Challenge” and was produced into the brilliant brain teaser called “Race Around the World”.
The game was officially launched at the 2010 Australian Toy Fair held in Melbourne in March.
Race Around the World has since gone onto win 3 industry awards at the 2011 Australian Toy Fair. The awards were: Best Game 2011 and Best Australian Made or Designed Product 2011 as awarded by The Independent Toy Specialists of Australia and Puzzle of the Year 2011 as awarded by Australian Games Association.
Just goes to show that from a simple concept, amazing things can be achieved. Check out our In the Media section to see what the girls have been up to!
