About Ordering with Inquizitive
When you purchase anything from Inquizitive, each and every time, we do the following….
- We pick and carefully pack your order ourselves
- We include, with the packaging, all labelling and, if necessary, customers declaration forms
- We insure all orders for 100% of their purchase value (should anything go wrong during transit)
- We usually despatch all orders within a 24 hour period (excluding weekends and public holidays)
- We track and monitor all shipping consignments thanks to the reliable service of Australia Post.
Understandably, many people these days are concerned about the privacy and security of their personal information. We assure you that this is also our concern so we will endeavour to do everything we can to uphold your privacy and security. You can count on us not to share your personal information with anyone outside of our company and you can count on us to adopt any reasonable measure to safeguard your personal information from hackers and other undesirable individuals/organisations. This is our promise to you.
Payment
No goods or services will be despatched until all purchases have been paid for, and all financial institutions have processed and approved transactions. This means that no order will be despatched until monies have been cleared by the relevant financial institutions, processed and approved by all parties concerned, all financial entities are satisfied that fraud, deception, or misleading conduct has not been carried out, and the full purchase amount had been credited to Inquizitive’s bank account.

What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept Visa and MasterCard as payment for both Australian and International Orders
Good & Services Tax
We are required to automatically charge and withhold the applicable GST for orders to be delivered to addresses within Australia. Each customer shall be solely responsible for all sales taxes, or other taxes, on orders shipped to any other country.
Despatching
Following receipt of your order and full payment, we will endeavour to pack and despatch your order within a 24 hours period (excluding weekends and public holidays).
Delivery
Tasmania – For the majority of Tasmania we use Fastway Couriers as they have a great network within Tasmania and in some cases can deliver the following day. However, for rural Tasmania we use Australia Post as they offer a faster service.
Mainland Australia – We use Australia Post as they cover 100% of Australia, provide fast turnaround times, and are very cost effective.
International – We use Australia Post as they offer the best International Delivery Service from Australia. They are also very cost effective and provide the fastest turnaround times.
Free Delivery
Any order made online at www.inquizitive.com.au, with a value of $100 or over, and is to be delivered anywhere in Australia will automatically receive FREE DELIVERY.
To clarify, any order where the stock value, after price reductions, sales, or specials that is over $100 AUD, will cost the customer nothing in postage or freight, from Inquizitive to their selected destination within Australia (Other countries are void). This will only be exempt for excessively large orders that weight over 22kgs.
What are the delivery costs?
Weight 0-22kg (within Tasmania)
- Orders under $100 incur $6.95 postage
- Orders over $100 are FREE
Weight 0-22kg (within Australia)
- Orders under $100 incur $8.95 postage
- Orders over $100 are FREE
Weight 22kg+ (Australia Wide)
- Orders over 22kg will incur extra shipping costs, subject to extra weight
International orders
- All International orders have the delivery cost calculated during the order process.
What are the estimated delivery times?
Tasmania – 1 to 2 working days
Victoria – 3 to 4 working days
New South Wales – 4 to 5 working days
Queensland – 5 working days
Northern Queensland – 6 to 7 working days
South Australia – 5 working days
Western Australia – 6 to 7 working days
Northern Western Australia – 8 working days
Australian Capital Territory – 3 to 5 working days
Northern Territory – 6 to 7 working days
International – 10 working days

Do you deliver to overseas destinations?
Of course, we want to ensure that every part of world is able to “Exercise their mind”.
Does Inquizitive have an urgent delivery service?
We understand that at times, we can occasionally forget that present for little Johnie. Therefore, if you would like Inquizitive’s assistance in getting that present in time for his birthday, then please call us on (03) 6343 2104 and we can discuss the options with you. Generally it costs a minimum of $20 AUD extra to send an item by express post.
Don’t forget that Inquizitive is able to wrap presents!
Delayed Delivery
Inquizitive takes no responsibility for the delay of deliveries caused by the carrier and as a result cannot be held liable for any stress, inconvenience, or financial loss that such action may have caused.
Returns
Inquizitive recognises that in some circumstances your order may need to be returned so we have devised a returns policy in relation to our online shopping component.
In all circumstances items must be returned to Inquizitive in the original condition, unused, together with packaging and labels intact within 14 days from the date of receipt. Product returns cannot be made by the customer without the knowledge and approval of Inquizitive.
What do I do if I have changed my mind?
If you purchase a product and change your mind, you can return the product and exchange it for another item. In this case postage costs will be the responsibility of the purchaser. If the purchase price of the item is greater than the item you wish to exchange then you will need to pay the difference. For items of lesser value we will issue a credit note. We do not offer refunds for change of mind purchases.
What should I do if my order arrives damaged or faulty?
We inspect all products prior to despatching orders and take care to make sure you receive your order in the condition you expect. If however the order arrives damaged or is faulty then we will repair, exchange or provide a full refund of the sale amount.
In the unlikely event that this happens, the customer is required to:
a) Identify physical damage to the packaging where possible (for example, take a photo),
b) If possible, refuse to accept delivery of the order to which the damage has occurred,
c) Inform Inquizitive of the incident within 7 days.
Please notify us via e-mail at brain@inquizitive.com.au or via phone (03) 6343 2104, stating the invoice number and reason for the return. We will then advise you on how to return the damaged goods to us. Please then return the product to us intact, together with the invoice and upon our inspection, you will be refunded the cost of the product.
What should I do if I suspect my order to be lost?
All orders sent by Inquizitive have a unique tracking number and need to be signed for upon receipt. If you do not receive your order within a reasonable time, after taking into account holidays, estimated delivery time, and other complications that may have arisen please send us an email at brain@inquizitive.com or phone us on (03) 6343 2104. At this point we will determine whether the item has been lost and if so, we will send a replacement.

What do I do if I have a query with my order?
If you have any queries with your order, please contact us via e-mail at brain@inquizitive.com.au or via phone on (03) 6343 2104, quoting your order number and/or name and delivery address. A member of the Inquizitive team will respond promptly.
Do you provide gift wrapping?
If you have ever been to our shop you will know that we are famous for wrapping presents in our beautiful green wrapping paper with black and white ribbon. We only charge $1 to have an item gift wrapped, so if you would like to have an item gift wrapped, add gift wrapping to your order (it can be found in the fun accessories section). Then when you come to complete your order, in the comment section tell us which item/s you would like wrapped.
Does Inquizitive have a physical shop front?
Yes, Inquizitive started out with a retail shop in Kings Meadows, which is 5km from the city centre of Launceston in Tasmania, Australia. If you would like to experience the Inquizitive difference, drop by and see us at Shop 3b, 139-143 Hobart Road, Kings Meadows. We are located between Gloria Jeans and Video City.
Omissions, Errors and Incorrect Pricing
Whilst every effort is made to ensure the accuracy of our web site content, customers, visitors, and any other person are advised that occasionally errors in the name, description, quantity, dimensions, weight, make, model, colour, size, texture, and any other aspect of the goods may give you a false or misleading impression on the goods and services offered by Inquizitive. However, no errors are ever made deliberately or intentionally. Omissions of varying kinds, incorrect pricing, and other factual mistakes may arise from time to time. If any piece of information relating to the goods or services is suspected of being incorrect, the customer is advised to adopt a cautious approach and notify Inquizitive for clarification prior to purchase. Inquizitive accepts no responsibility or liability for any financial loss or any other resulting factor that may arise. Inquizitive reserves the right to cancel or refuse any purchases made. In the event of an incorrectly stated/advertised price where the customer has made a purchase, the customer will have the option to either have the difference in price refunded or have the same amount in the form of a credit voucher which they can use to make another purchase.
